1. Clean

Spring is the time to clean. Out with the old, and in with the new. Clean your light fixtures and wash your windows to brighten up a space.

The best recipe for cleaning windows:

2 Cups of Water

1 Cup of Vinegar

8 Drops of Dawn Dish washing Soap

Store in a spray bottle.

Make sure to wet window, spray with the cleaner and let it soak for about 3-5 minutes. Take a squeegee and move from side to side starting from the top and working your way down.

2. Edit

Remove and de-clutter by editing your decor, closets, shelves, etc. Ultimately editing your home to begin a new year with a refreshed space that clears and calms the mind. When looking through spaces in your house start with one small space at a time then ask yourself "Do I love this" and "Do I use this". Don't get stuck in the hoarder's cycle by thinking I will use this one day...think...have I used this within this past year.

3. Color

Nothing says spring like a pop of color. This can be achieved by changing out pillow covers on your sofa, adding a new coffee table book, adding a bowl of fresh lemons to the kitchen counter. Green and yellow are a wonderful color pairing for Spring.

4. Florals

Botanicals are an easy way to bring in the Spring. A fresh bouquet in a glass vase or wooden bowl of succulents adds a fresh touch and breathes new life to a space.
